BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Saifuddin Mahmud joined the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems (CS&IS) at Bradley University as an assistant professor in fall 2023. Before his current position at Bradley, he was a senior researcher of the Advanced Telerobotics Research Laboratory (ATR Lab) at Kent State University. Earlier in his career, he served as an instructor at the Cisco Network Academy and was a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology, Bangladesh.

SCHOLARSHIP
Dr. Mahmud's research interests span across robotics, telerobotics, human-robot interaction, computer vision, merged reality and immersive virtual experiences, computing, and robotics education. He has published numerous papers in his field. He received the Best Presenter Award from the CCWC 2020 conference and two international travel awards bestowed by Kent State University.
SERVICE
Dr. Mahmud has led teams and participated in prominent global competitions such as the World Robot Summit (WRS), RoboCup, and the NASA SUITS Challenge 2020. Additionally, he actively conducted summer workshops, mentoring high school students in robotics across several institutions. He has consistently served in roles such as student volunteer chair, judge, publicity chair, and committee member at numerous conferences, seminars, workshops, and hackathons.
